Why do some people start Clomid on day 3 and some on day 5? Also, what is the 'normal' dose for Clomid?

Usually the days you take it are up to your doctors preference. Although some people say days 3-7 give more follicles and days 5-9 better egg... though I haven't found any real literature backing this up.

A first time on Clomid they usually start on 50mg for 5 days. If that doesn't work they'll up it to 100mg for 5 days, then if it still doesn't work they'll up it again to 150, up to 200mg.
