My iron levels are out of wack so i saw a dr. who asked me a few questions then stated he thinks i have pcos but that he will do an ultrasound in a few weeks to make sure.
From what I read I don't have many symptoms so why does he think this?
I am very overweight but it has been a gradual thing and a lot of my family is so I didn't think much of that. My periods may be a normal for a few months then I'll skip a month or two. Sometimes I have heavy bleeding for a week, month or just a day. I'm 27 now, and my periods use to be painful but rarely do I have any cramping now. I have never had any problems with abnormal hair growth and have probably had 10 pimples my whole life. I've never been sexually active so I don't know about infertility. So why does he think I have it - is it normal to have very few symptoms? If he tells me after the ultrasound that I do have it do i go with that diagnosis or ask to have other test performed?
I Would Say From What U've Described That You Do Have PCOS
I Mean Ur Periods Are Same As Me!!!!
But Look At Me ? ? ?
I Am Thin, & No Abnormal Hair Growth!! I Still Have PCOS
If I Was You, Then You Should Go For Ultrasound . . . . Least Then You Know!! Piece Of Mind Init?
thanks for the info everyone! This is a great site and wether I am diagnoed or not it has been a ton of help! The waiting is hard so I decided to do research in the meantime so I will know what to ask and what decisions to go with.
I'm also being tested for a cancer gene so the dr. said treatment would have to be based around that as well. I have read in a few things that it can increse the chances or ovarian and breast cancer as well as endometrian. Is that true?
