A couple of days ago I bought some Veet to see if it would work on me. Well, it worked on my upper arms, "bikini area," and my bum, but didn't take any hair off my face. I'm pleased with the results where it worked (my butt hasn't been that smooth in years! lol) but a bit disappointed that it didn't work on my face. Anyone else expeirence this with Veet or Nair or any other depilatory?

I've read other posts that say how good it works, but, unfortunately no place in town sells it. There aren't many black men in Ashland so I guess most retailors figure it wouldn't sell!

I understand your problem, all too well. Nair & Neet does okay for my hands, legs, except the mess involved. I tried the roll-on Nair last evening for my legs, hands, chest-- it was surprising okay. It didn't burn my sensitive skin, except the bikini area. I wanted to try my underarms, but ran out of because of the small bottle. I don't even waste my time using hair removal creams on my face, not anymore. They burn my sensitive skin & leave half the hair behind to mock me. How cruel is that?!!
Thank God for Soul Cysters, so that we can vent & share together.

I used to use a product called Louis Marcel...especially for the face area but I cannot find it over here anymore.

Now I use Dimples......I don't think it is an irish product so maybe it is available elsewhere.

Thanks "curious cyster", for the recomendation on the magic. I am going to try that out. None of the hair removal creams ever work on my face. I don't love the idea of smelling like a man...but it is better than looking like one

Just recently diagnosed
No treatment currently...checking my options
Dealing with endometriosis as well and underwent laparoscopy to remove two inches of scar tissue from ovaries
