They gave me solid crosshairs up til today. Then just now I put in my temp for this morning (which is the exact same temp as the last 3) and gave me DOTTED crosshairs, plus moved my ovulation to a day later than it was. AND it changed my coverline!
How does this make any sense at all?? I must be PMSing because that just bugged me so incredibly bad, lol!

Do you agree with when you ovulated "when you had solid CH's"?? or do you believe it could be what they gave you with dashed?
Sarah..this is my 5th month straight that I've used FF and I do love seeing WHEN I ovulated ...it usually is when I believe I have, except one month, when I didn't but thinking it didn't matter, I wasn't pregnant LOL
I think it's worth it, in fact, I've gotta renew my membership, cause I only bought 3 months worth, after the free month.

You can alter FF to take your input instead of its own, like if you want to rely on OPKs instead of temps, but I've always been scared to try that out.

I understand the obsessing about what day you O'd (I've done it many times) but the important thing is the bigger picture which is that it definitely looks like you ovulated. I personally do think the crosshairs look good where they are (you see the bigger shift there) but a day before is also possible.
If you really feel you O'd on the day before, just override it.

I totally understand your annoyance! For me it's like, if they're solid crosshairs, it makes me feel like FF is *sure* I O'd (even though I know deep down it can rarely know for certain!) but then when you get the dashed crosshairs, then it seems fallible!

It would be because it feels that given all the data that is the accurate date. The reason for the dotted lines is because your fertility signs are conflicting.
Going by CM and opk's it looks like it would be one date (CD17).
If you go by temperatures it appears to be another date (CD18). Since the temps stayed high up it decided to move the crosshairs to where the temperature shift really was. From cd17-cd18 there really wasnt a shift. The big shift was from cd18-19. So that is why it changed the date

Oceanic, could it have given you dotted CH because its missing the temp input for yesterday?
I don't us FF, so I'm not sure, but I noticed yesterday's temp is missing.

Samie, I honestly doubt it. My temp yesterday was 98.2 but that was with temping an hour earlier than usual, so I just deleted it altogether since it changed my crosshairs. Looks like it didn't matter though!
