I've been taking Levothyroxine for about 6 months now. Since I started, my meds have been upped 25mcg every couple months. I started out @ 25mcg & I'm now up to 100mcg as of today. My TSH was 4.14 yesterday. When I was first dx'd, my RE told me it was slightly elevated. If it was only slightly elevated, why isn't the medication working to correct it? Is there something else I can take that would work better? How long did it take you to get the right dosage or med & have the correct TSH?

Did he tell you what lab value he considers to be 'slightly elevated'?

I don't know what the original value was. I have a consult in the beg. of Dec. so I'll ask then. I was just wondering if there were others that the same thing happened to & how it was fixed. I did ask the nurse & she said that if the meds don't correct it, I'll have to see a medical Endo. rather than RE.
