PCOS is confusing If you do have PCOS, it is hard to diagnose because blood work can look normal. There is a certain pattern to the lab work and I wish I could tell you it, but I have no idea personally. My first blood work all looked normal to me, but my doc had to explain why it meant I had PCOS.
Also, just to make one thing clear, just because AF is around does not mean you are ovulating. Women who have PCOS have a few periods, but do not ovulate. And it is also possible for a PCOS woman to have normal periods, however is rare. Sorry to make you more confused.
