Hello Sisters

I have been taking 100mg of sprionolactone per day for more than 6 months now and saw no improvement in acne whatsoever. In fact my acne just keeps getting worse. I read that this pill is working wonders for so many people. Any idea why this popular medicine is not working for me?

Anotehr problem with this medicine is that my boobs shrank about a cup size but I did not lose weight anywhere else. It seems so wierd...

I'm taking spiro too, I've been on it for about 10 months now.

Spiro hasn't helped my acne at all, and at the 6 month mark my skin was worse than it had ever been. I started a three month course of antibiotics in January and my skin cleared up within a few weeks. The cystic acne is completely gone, and I now just have the occasional tiny pimple. I'm now on a very low dose of antibiotics and I'm hoping it will keep working.

Antibiotics can have troublesome side effects and not everyone can take them, but you may want to consider trying them if you haven't before.

Flutamide did wonders for my skin. It is completely clear now. I love that stuff.

antibiotics worked really well for me too when i was in my teens. I got acne again five years later though but not as bad. This time antibiotic cream has worked well for me.
