Default Wild Rice?????

I was wondering if any one knows if wild rice is ok. I was told that i could have brown rice, but i didnt think to ask about wild rice.

From what I know about wild rice is that it isn't really rice. It's like a plant or something.... Sort of the same way a sweet potato isn't really a potato....I'll look into it some more, because I was thinking about it too. I like wild rice soup.

It has it in the medium catergory...whatever. And it is next to the sweet potatoes. good call. haha (17,61)

New Year's fitness Celebration:

It's okay. It's not really rice - more like a grain. You do need to cook it longer than regular rice.

I boil mine in broth with some seasonings.

I've always heard/read that it's okay, and I actually like it even better than brown rice.

Uncle Ben's has the BEST wild rice and i put chinese vegies with it after its cooked (out of the can the vegies are) and a can of cream of mushroom soup and then put pork chops or chicken breasts on top and cook in the oven........YUMMY!
