Default will Hypo make your?

Will being hypo make your heart rate faster or is it the synthroid that does it? or have any of you noticed it ? i know when i was hyper my heart rate was faster....i also could not sleep last night will the synthroid make you have insomnia?

I have never had problems with my synthroid...I don't get fast heart rate, but if I were you I would call my doctor. They can tell you what the problem is. It could be wrong dosage for you or something like that, but call your doctor and let us know what you hear!

Difficulty sleeping, heart palpitations and increased heart rate are possible side effects of Synthroid. This is usually from excessive dosage or rapid increase in dosage. You can read lots of people's experiences with it at this link:

Btw, taking it in the morning is supposed to help avoid insomnia.

yeah they have me on 250mg for 3 days and then tomorrow i go back down to 125 mg i guess they did that because my TSH was 130 and they were getting it down kinda quick......... i don't notice the fast heart rate until i take my pulse..... and i took my Synthroid yesterday morning and i slept good last night sooo i know not to take it in the evenings any more *L*

Fast heart beat usually means your dose is too high. You should definately get this checked out. My pharmacist reminds me each time I get my prescription refilled.
