Default Will I ever stop worrying?

I was dx Nov 03 after years of different symptoms and wondering what was wrong with me. Finally I have a diagnosis and started the SBD in Jan 04. Since starting the diet my skin looks and feels so much better and my stomach is not bloated. However, I have seen no sign of improvement with my periods (which is not 3 days late again) and my exhaustion has got soooo much worse than it was.

Well that is a bit about me...

My main problem is that I can't stop myself panicking. Ever since I can remember I have always wanted a family and always saw myself settled around my mid-20s. I am now nearly 28 and have just found out about PCOS. I am in the process of buying a flat with my sister as boyf and I are not in the postion to buy yet and I want to get on the property ladder. But, I panic that my dreams of being a mum won't happen. I can't stop myself and I don't know why I keep thinking about it all of the time.

I get very down about work around this time of the month and want to walk out and that gets me thinking about the rest of my life and how I should be making a difference and am just wasting it...

I hate feeling so blue...

hey, it sounds as though you are making some wonderful strides towards becoming healthy. good for you! it takes time though even though it's hard to wait. and, you might need a little bit of help for awhile. some counseling or medication to get all balanced out. anytime a chronic illness is present, grief will happen too. allow yourself to greive and go through the process. but, keep up the good work. you'll get there!

Thanks Lendi

I have decided to make an appointment to see the doctor and hopefully the diabetic nurse (I am not diabetic, but she can advise me about the diet) later this week. I can't cope with being so tired all of the time and think that I need to talk to someone about it.

My period finally started 5 days late so my mood has improved (I always get very depressed around my period), but I still find myself panicking a lot, I guess I need to give myself time. But, it is hard...

yes, incredibly hard. but you're gonna make it. you're a winner. good luck with your appts. as for feeling tired *i have chronic fatigue syndrome*, i so understand. when you start feeling rested some of the other might fall into place as well. one can cope with a lot when the energy level is there. Good luck to ya
