Default will a pediatric endocrinologist help me?

I'm 16 now,but It all started in about 8th grade and i am a sophmore in high school now.I was always feeling tired, couldn't fall asleep or stay asleep, that's how it started. Then I started gaining weight out of nowhere,so i walked about five miles everynight, gave up pop and snacking late, but when i went back for a checkup I gained weight!my pediatrican told me to go to a OBGYN so i had to wait about 3 months for that, that was really hard to wait to get help when i was trying so hard!So they did blood work and diagnosed me with PCOS.well i had to wait another couple of months to get back in and the doctor told me everything was fine like my throid and testostorone and my pcos had nothing to do with me gaining weight!that was really hard to hear and i broke into tears because i've been dealing with this for so long and i thought that i would be getting some help finally.Well i hope that there is some girls out there who have gone through the same thing and can help!i'll will apreciate it so much!

If you're considering seeing an endocrinologist, I would suggest seeing a reproductive endo, or just a regular endo (or even another OB/GYN - sometimes they know how to treat PCOS properly). PCOS is a problem that will affect your whole life, especially as an adult, so I'm not sure a pediatric endo would understand how to treat you for the future.

I personally think that u need to push to see the appropiate people!
My peadiatrician was usuless with me , he basically asked some questions and that was it so my mum pushed for me to see the gyn and eventually i did, but my gyn was a a$$ and signed me off his list till i was older saying to keep at pain meds and regular visits to my GP i was in tears and it seemed no one understood my frustration grr!
Its so late coming upto 2am here but have stuff to do and keep getting lost in my own thought hmmm-
like i said drop me an email with any questions , im easy goin and easy to chat to so dont be afraid ok pcos isnt easy but its easier with friends , that goes to anyone who wants to email me!
