My Mood: Points: 5,696.57 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 5,696.57 | Will Yeast Infection Prevent Conception? Hi Ladies... Ok... in a nutshell, I am a Clomid cyster...currently taking 150 mg days 3-5. This is my 4th round... I anticipate my O within the next few days but I think that I have come down with a yeast infection. My question is, will this create a hostile environment for semen? I'm scheduled to see my doctor tomorrow and check my follies, and I'm pretty sure that she'll tell me at that time what to do... I just hope that this doesn't destroy my chance this time around...

My Mood: Points: 4,224.92 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,224.92 | I know that yeast medications like monistat can kill sperm, but I'm pretty certain that the yeast itself can't. However, it's good to fix an infection as soon as possible. BUT, this can be done even when you're pregnant, just not with medications like Monistat.
In other words, you can TTC successfully with a yeast infection, but just have to figure out how to get rid of it afterwards should you catch that egg. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |
