Yasmin is a life saver for me! It helps me control my appetite, slows hair growth, and keeps my periods regular, short, and painless.
One downside for some people is that it definitely reduces your sex drive. However, since I am a single woman who doesn't believe in premarital sex, it's actually a huge blessing!
HTH,
Tori

I suppose I'm content that I'm on bcp right now. At least I'm regular with AF. I bled like crazy before I started on BCP to help regulate me. I've been on a couple of different ones. I started on ortho-tricyclen-lo. I've taken nordette. I've been on seasonale for over a year now. I like only having a period every three months and it's supposed to be a little better for my endo.

I went to the patch because I cant remember to take the pill. I just started it.. I'll let you know how it goes. But with yasmin I was told to be careful having sex because it is easier to get pregnant on it. But I didnt take yasmin very long, although my doctor REALLY recommended it, but we decided on the patch because it was better for me than yasmin for the simple fact that I wouldnt take the pill every day so it was doing me no good. hth

I was on yasmin for the last 2.5 yrs and just stopped on 4/20/05 because I'm more depressed, crazy and emotional than ever before. I only thought that it could have been the yasmin after reading some posts about yasmin. So my opinion of bcpills is not good right now but in the past I thought they were helping me, so I'm confused. I will have ins. again in july so maybe I'll find a dr. who will let me try something else, until then I'm not going to take anything. Before yasmin I was on ortho-novum 777 and Demulen when I was really young.
yasmin messed my hormones up really badly, made me moody, i cried at the slightest thing (not my normal style at all) i also gained weight and my boobies were huge! it gave me migraines and i generally felt like s**t! most women don't have these effects though, but i find i just can't maintain weight so easily since coming off. i would say try it, you can always stop but you might as well give it a go.

I'm very happy that I decided to go on birth control. For me it has reduced hair growth, and cleared up a lot of my oily acne skin. I'm on Diane 35, and started with Orthro tricyclen. I haven't had problems with either one. Although I think my boobs did grow a little bit. I also use it as a primary form of birth control. I think i'm allergic to latex, so being on the pill is better than dealing with condoms!
