Default Withdrawal from painkillers??

I am going crazy right now. For 2 days i have been crying non-stop (for no reason), not sleeping, getting crawling feelings in my arm and legs, feeling queasy and exhausted. It is driving me nuts! I am hoping that tonight i can get some sleep at last and get this feeling to go away. The only thing i can think of it being is withdrawal from painkillers. I had a period and doc prescribed tramadol which is a narcotic. So i take it to try and get rid of period pain and it's ok - i go 5 days feeling as high as a kite which is better than being in agony - but when i stopped taking it this happens.

Has anyone experienced this - would you say that it's the drugs that are making me feel this way. It's like i can't control the crying and feelings i'm getting (which has never happened before).

can anyone help??

Sounds like you have hit it right on.

You need to talk with the Dr again and try something else.
Also take a look at when you are taking it.

Be careful not to take it within 2-3 hrs of other meds.
I had the misfortune of bad timing...My pain med time fell at the same time I take my Glux.

I had audio halusenations most of the night.

But for you since your dificulty is coming after you stop..I would say you need to re-evaluate why your taking it. Like any addiction, your body is making up reasons for you to continue taking it. That is why so many keep on the drugs. They would rather deal with the "high" or "feeling good for a change" Than to go back to the pain they had before. Then when the do stop, chances are the pain is from withdrawl, instead of the origianl issue. Addicts tell themselves it is the original issue and not drug related.

So give yourself a pat on the back. You see what is starting.
Now you need to find a new med for next month.

Good Luck,
Patty
