So I asked my allergist's nurse bout it when I went for my antibiotic shot yesterday. I called the pharmacy last night to see if anything was called in and they called in Liquid Carafate. I HATE that stuff. It nauseates me and I've been on it so much. I guess being liquid they said it should coat and protect my tummy more. It's just frustrating to me because it's soo gross and it's 40.00. Ugh

My tummy is blah tonight. I did manage to keep my dinner down which is improvement from the past few days but I still feel very nauseated. These antibiotics and steroids are wreaking havoc on me I tell ya.

Points: 193.19 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 193.19 | Hi Everyone- Newbie Hi Everyone!
I am a newbie
I was diagnosed w/ PCOS in 1999, but had the symptoms since 1990. I had lapband wls in Sept. 07 and have had great success with weight loss. AF also came back about 3 mo po and I have been having it every month although it is heavy and about 2 weeks long.
DH and I have been TTC for 3 years now but I also have 1 blocked tube and the other tube is partially blocked, which makes it a very small chance of pregnancy w/ PCOS on top of everything. We will be trying IVF later this year.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi!
I have a wls blog if you want to know more about me: http://thinspiration4me.blogspot.com/ |

Just a quickie because I need to go to bed. I just got home from the ER and I'm miserable.
Do any of you know if you can have an obstruction or blockage and still have belyl sounds?

My Mood: Points: 23,623.35 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 23,623.35 | I ended up at the ER last night. I couldn't stand up straight and was doubled over in pain after trying to eat. They didn't have a way to check for a blockage or anything plus he heard some bowel sounds but the Dr said he thinks it was just a bad case of gastritis or something like that brought on by me eating a couple slices of pepperoni (something I've had plenty times before and it's never done that). Said if it happens that bad again to call my surgeon though because they're limited on what they can do. When I first got there my blood pressure was 180/90 which is very high for me (I usually run 100/50). I was pretty dehydrated too and it took 11 sticks to get my iv and blood. I haven't even tried to eat yet today. They ended up giving me 3 doses of dilaudid (strong pain med) and 2 doses of IV protonix and phenergan. They also sent me home with a prescription called Bentyl or something like that it's supposed to be good for stomach pain. It was seriously the worst pain I've ever felt. I'm terrified to even try and eat today. So far the pain is is some better today but I've not tried to do anything.

My Mood: Points: 1,205.10 Bank: 402.82 Total Points: 1,607.92 | Hi Ladies.... there is way to much to do personals on at this point. so I am gonna skip it. But I hope you all are doing great.... only 3 more days.... I am getting sorta nervous now, but I am sure that is the norm. I am working today and tomorrow, and then I have Tuesday off due to the bowel prep they want me to do, and then I have to be at the Hospital at 0545 on Wednesday morning. Any last minute words of advise are totally welcome, as long and hard as I have worked to get to this point, I sure am scared as heck!

Misty- I get the same way. It is always on the left side and they thought it might be a partial ubstruction but it could never be confirmed (2 MRI's later) They finally decided I had a bacterial infection in my intestines but I still get it from time to time. I find a scaling hot bath will ease the pain. I almost always get that way if I eat lettuce!!!
Fresh- Welcome I had RNY in 2003 and have a 19 month old son from IVF good luck!
Nikki- Are you still hanging in there HONEY. I hope you are ok your in my prayers
