Ive so been slacking on this thread! I will get caught up i promise!
I had my first fill today and im down 25 pounds since the 4th! Im happy about that  Of course tonight im celebrating with a glass of wine) i just coudlnt help it), so tomorrow i will have to walk a little extra!

Carrie - I'm going to St. Francis in Federal Way and my surgeon is Dr. Srikanth. Does your insurance require a supervised diet? I was lucky that mine didn't, but I know a lot of insurances do.

I have to go back to the OB today, I think i have a yeast infection from the antibiotics they gave me for the mastitis. *sigh* So...we are going back once again!! lol We are also going to see that house i have been talking about today at 2:30pm. I hope its the one!! I really do!! Wish us luck!! Ok, thats it for me, i prob wont be on until monday or tues. Dh finally has more thn one day off!! WOot!! WOot!!! So we are spending time together getting things done we have been putting off this weekend! Yeah, im so excited!!! thanks for the neew thread kristy!

Buttercup - no, insurance didn't ask for that. Only a five year history and what non surgical options I've tried. My only worry is that I hate going to the doctor so I'm not sure I have all five years, but I sure hope that I do. I know I've been fat all my life, does that count? 
I guess I'll know more after next Tuesday. For those of you who have already been through this process, what kind of questions did you ask? I feel like I know a lot from reading what you girls have to say and some over on obesityhelp.com.

Well ladies...I could use some prayers. The spotting picked back up yesterday and last night progressed to bright red blood. So I went to the ER and although the pregnancy is still there it is threatened. Doc did a bedside u/s but couldn't really see anything more than the cavity due to quality & gestation. He did say something about measuring 6w4d...so I don't know if that's the 'sac' he saw or what. But I'm definitely bleeding 'maroon' as he put it and having mild/light cramping. So I'm on bed/pelvic rest for a week. Right now I'm waiting for a call back from my doc. I'm so scared right now that I'm going to loose this baby. Night before last I even had a dream that I'd lost the baby...so...any prayers you can spare...please send them my way?

Kristy I will be praying very hard for you. Could they give you progesterone or something to help stop the bleeding?

Oh Kristy- I am so hopeful for you that it turns out to be "just a scare" - I will be saying extra prayers for you.. please try to take it easy and abide by the bedrest orders. How scary for you!!

Oh Kristy! I'm so sorry you are having bleeding. I know it probably isn't much comfort but I have heard many stories of women having bleeding and everything turning out just fine with their baby. LOTS OF PRAYERS coming your way!!!

Hi Ladies,
I'm new to the group. I've been lurking around a bit. My name is Nikki I am 24 and live in Phx, Az. I am currently looking into VSG. I haven't confirmed anything with insurance, but feel this is an option that I want to look into a little further. I have about 135lbs. that I would like to lose and DH and I have been TTC for over a year and a half and I know that my weight is what is holding us back. Those of you that had VSG I would love to hear about your experiences and if you are pleased with your progress thus far. I appreciate any additional information while I try to process this decision and see if this is what is best for me.

P.S. I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding Kristy. Stay off your feet and I hope that everything is just fine!

Thanks ladies! I just got back from the OB and he actually didn't seem too concerned with what he saw. He did a pelvic and found older brown blood which was good. Then he felt the uterus to gauge size and was ok with that. He ordered a quant hcg today and then a repeat on Monday with a u/s to be scheduled for next week after the 2nd lab. No lifting for me (or any prego) over 15lb. They said I can push it to 25lb if I have to...but to use my legs to lift properly if I must. So now Alice is in her bed watching a movie & I'm about to go take a nap. He told me to not be too worried...whew. But any prayers you all have are still appreciated.
Benswife - Karli had a VSG done and I hope she'll pop in to answer some questions for you! Most of us have had RNY with a DS & a few lapbands thrown in to cover all surgeries.
Ok...off to nap. I didn't get home last night from the ER until 330am and then didn't sleep well & was up at 8am when Alice woke up.
