Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers for my grandpa and my family. It's not easy to think about, BUT as long as he is happy and enjoys every moment he has left with us, thats what matters.

I also wanted to let you all know I actually did it today - I went in and got my hair chopped. I think it hurt they stylist more than me. We cut 21 inches off and donated it to locks of love. As of right now hubby doesn't know, he get's home in a half hour though so if I'm dead, it's my own fault.

Kristy - be careful, and give you and the bean the rest you guys deserve! I'm keeping you in my prayers hun.

For everyone else - sorry I can't even remember what anyone posted my mind is so frazzled right now. Sorry

TDoern & Kristy- I'll be thinking of you ladies... stay strong and take care!

Hello to all the other divas, hope things are going well for you!

I was finally approved for my surgery today. It seems like it's taken forever, but in reality I think my insurance works pretty fast. My initial consultation was March 27, and my surgery is scheduled for May 21! I know life is going to change forever, but I'm so ready for it!

Buttercup - Congrats on your approval.

Ugh my tummy is less than happy tonight. First I took my iron pill 2 hours ago. I keep belching/heaving and tasting it but it isn't actually coming up. In a desperate attempt to get the taste out my mouth and stuff I ate a string cheese bout 10 mins ago and now I'm hurting and miserable. My tummy has been hurting when I eat all day today though. It just feels soo full and bloated. I'm not constipated either. Unfortunately it seems everything I've eaten and drank the past week has gone right through me since I was on the 7 days of blank pills for my iron prescription (it's like BCP 21 active pills and 7 inactive). Anyways I'm just blah.

OMG, SC has now eaten my post twice! I am too frustrated to type it all again! Hope you girls are all doing well. I'm praying for a sticky bean, Kristy. I know how scary spotting is.

I just got home from an amazing weekend in Key Largo & Ft Lauderdale, DH and I were celebrating me being alive and healthy!! I am finally going back to work on May 19. I'm excited, but sad too. At least getting back to work will help keep me from grazing, I am getting lazy with the eating plan and need to nip that in the bud!

I had Lap RNY and was in the hospital 3 days and as far as the pain stuff goes I was sore for bout a week after and after that the pain was only when I would heave/vomit or something mostly. My sister had open RNY and was back to work teaching kindergarden half days 6 days later.

I had lap RNY & was in the hospital 3.5 days (had surgery in afternoon on Tuesday, went home Friday morning). I was off work for 4 weeks only because I had a gtube and they would not release me back to work until it was pulled at 4 weeks post op. The day after it was removed I went back to work. I really felt good enough to go back to work after about 2.5-3 weeks.

Buttercup - Congrats! I'll update the 1st page.

Karli - Glad to see you're doing better! There was a lady on the last page of the old thread who was asking about the vsg.

Anyway not too much new here. My beta level came back nice & high...don't know if I mentioned it yet or not...but it was 139,820. So one more lab on Monday and then they will decide after those come back if I need an u/s or not. So far the bleeding is still there...but it's brown coffee ground like and not the bright red/maroon that I saw Wednesday night. So...bedrest is getting boring...but hey...ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I swear this pregnancy is total night/day from my last one. Anyway...off to get my feet up!

Thanks for the prayers!

Kristy - That's the highest beta # I've ever heard! wow! I hope the spotting stops and you get to go off of bedrest.

I had lap RNY. I had my surgery on Friday morning and left the hospital on Sunday morning. I went back to work after 3 weeks. My doctor would have approved for me to go back after 2 weeks if I had had a sit-down office type of job but I worked in a daycare at the time and had to be lifting kids, so I waited 3 weeks. Worst part of recovery was that it hurt for me lay on my back for almost a month so for 4 weeks I slept on our recliner.
