When you google it there are so many options and a real range of prices. I was hoping someone may be able to give me a few pointers.
Thanks

1) Can't afford it - i would rather save money ready to have children
2) What would happen if they made a mistake?
3) I haven't got the nerve to have it done !
I hope you don't mind me voicing my opinion |

I completely agree that the money and the surgery are off putting, and to be honest, expensive surgery when it is not absolutely necessary goes against everything I normally believe in, but I'm fed up with diets that don't work for me, and I feel I need something drastic to kick me up the arse!
I know it's an advert but when you see how much she spent on fertility treatment that didn't work, the cost seems less scary. I do have a bit of money put aside- i had thought about adoption from overseas- but nowhere enough for the BMI treatment, though there's one of those in King's Lynn, so that's not too far.

There you go- are you loving the Easter snow? How will the kiddies find their eggs?

My Mood: Points: 1,384.21 Bank: 0.01 Total Points: 1,384.21 | What type of surgery are you considering? I had a gastric band in November and although it is slower that bypass or DS I'm really glad i've had it done.
I was really lucky in that I had it done on the NHS and where i live the waiting list is only about 2yrs from first consultation to surgery. For me this is my only change to TTC as I have been refused any type of fertility help until i lose weight.
For general WLS info have a look on http://www.obesityhelp.com/ and ~*~WLS Divas~*~March 2008~*~Happy Easter!~*~
Also try the forums on http://fathappens.com/ for experiences of those who have had it done privately both in the UK and abroad
Good luck with whatever you decide and if i can help with info in any way feel free to PM me
