I am seriously considering going down this route and wondered if anyone had been through this in the UK, or travelled overseas with a UK based company to have it done.
When you google it there are so many options and a real range of prices. I was hoping someone may be able to give me a few pointers.
Thanks

I once wondered about going down that route but there are a few reasons why i wouldn't:
1) Can't afford it - i would rather save money ready to have children
2) What would happen if they made a mistake?
3) I haven't got the nerve to have it done !
I completely agree that the money and the surgery are off putting, and to be honest, expensive surgery when it is not absolutely necessary goes against everything I normally believe in, but I'm fed up with diets that don't work for me, and I feel I need something drastic to kick me up the arse!
I know it's an advert but when you see how much she spent on fertility treatment that didn't work, the cost seems less scary. I do have a bit of money put aside- i had thought about adoption from overseas- but nowhere enough for the BMI treatment, though there's one of those in King's Lynn, so that's not too far.

"The Sandringham Hospital is a 35 bedded private hospital located in the grounds of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn. Through partnership with our host NHS Trust, we are able to offer a full range of medical services with the benefit of extensive clinical support services."
There you go- are you loving the Easter snow? How will the kiddies find their eggs?

Oh i didn't realise that Sandringham hospital does that,
I can't believe it is still snowing outside, it has been snowing non stop since i have been up at that is since 7:30am, dh is still fast asleep in bed he is oblivious to what is going on outside
I am at work this afternoon but i shall be walking i think, as it is in the village where i am working today.
I was supposed to be going to see my nephew this morning and my sisters foster child to give them their easter eggs but my sister told me to stay at home, i suppose there is always tomorrow.
What type of surgery are you considering? I had a gastric band in November and although it is slower that bypass or DS I'm really glad i've had it done.
I was really lucky in that I had it done on the NHS and where i live the waiting list is only about 2yrs from first consultation to surgery. For me this is my only change to TTC as I have been refused any type of fertility help until i lose weight.
Also try the forums on http://fathappens.com/ for experiences of those who have had it done privately both in the UK and abroad
Good luck with whatever you decide and if i can help with info in any way feel free to PM me
