 For Women Everywhere
Hi Ladies,
Currently I'm working with a group raising money for a local womens' shelter. To do this we threw a high tea recently, and we'll be doing a production of the Vagina Monologues. From the tea alone we raised $3500!! This is something we handed out at the tea-- and it was so interesting and inspiring to me. Listen up girls-- this is for you!

"Why Every Woman is a Beauty Queen"

Psychologist Carl Jung believed our minds house "archetypes" built into our psyches. The most powerful figure is the "mother" figure, whose image is found in the most ancient of carvings, (35,000 bc) revered for her life giving and nurturing power. The very fate of every human rests in mother's arms. Paleolithic statues are far and wide represented in the female form.
Darwin supported the idea that early culture was dominated by female deity worship a "great Mother Goddess." Tribal evidence he witnessed supported this.
Scholarly work has shown that Patriarchy in its inception, moved to displace the female hierarchy by demonizing females. One classic icon in case is the Minoan Snake Goddess cult, (1600 bc) when snake worship was a female dominated form of worship. Males then puropsely created the story passed to genesis that snakes ans women were responsible for man's downfall, thus enabling men to take over "godhead" religious roles and supplant female deities with males.
One remnant of defiant womanhood that has been omitted from today's cannons is the defiant original woman Lillith, who refused to serve the male Adam when he wanted her to lie beneath him. Nocturnal emissions are said to give rise to Lillith's demon children. As late as the 18th century, amulets were used to protect male children from Lillith.
In ancient times, young women deflowered themselves on stone phalluese of various God statues. This was to ensure that their offspring would be "born of the Gods." (Today most religions revolve around control of female sexuality.
Water fonts found in churches and holy places hail back to water cisterns (pre-Egyptian) being symbolic of the holy womb of womanhood (earth) and its life-giving properties. Later this image was adulterated in portrayal of "cauldrons" that witches supposedly used in evil spells. When the witch-hunts spread through Europe killing over 100,000 innocents, the victims were mostly women. Women's ability to give men erections was seen as a "spell."
Women represent power and grandeur in the course of Humanitiy's existence. We are more than beauty queens-- we are Goddesses. Know your history-- empower women.
