Both womens toner tea and women's liberty tea contain licorice (sp?) root and spearment leaf to lower androgens, they contain other herbs to balance female hormones.
Maca is also the natural alternative to hormone replacement therapy.. unlike phytoestrogens which add estrogen, maca works naturally stimulating the gland to release more and balance hormones (although increase your iodine intake with this bc too much Maca is bad for your thyroid)
I'm going the natural route by eating extremely healthy (low carb - med diet) & taking multivitamin supplements... but I want to balance my hormones...
For anyone who has tried these, what were your results? how long did you drink the teas for? how many times a day? how much maca did you take?
I have been taking maca for almost 3 months and I was having preg symptoms from taking too much so I backed down and I have been feeling alot more energy and I am just starting a new cycle but this past one was only 27 days. That is HUGE for me and a first.
So I think it's doing something. Oh and I take 4~1/4 tsps a day, which is the same amount as 4 capsules. I just ran out and had some powder left over and that equals out to 2000mgs.
It's also a food so you can drink it or cook with it. I haven't cooked with mine but I will drink it in OJ, that's the only way I can.
It's gross, but what won't we try at least once to get that BFP...lol

Goddess I would try capsules first IF you dont; mind taking pills.
You can also try the liquid...that's gross also.
I hope you find one or the other works for you. You can also try motheringdotcom and go to there forums and read about the ladies there that have had success with maca
