haha, that is the one thing I totally hate...

"oh my friend got pregnant as soon as they stopped trying"
"just stop thinking about it and it will happen"

Oh! Is that all I have to do is stop thinking about it?! Why didn't I think of that??? Of course... just stop thinking about it, no problem.

Let me add that to the list of things I am already doing to try to get pregnant...

LOL, omg I know! If I hear anymore of those stupid "you just need to stop thinking about it, it'll happen" phrases, I will punch someone in the face! How about I have PCOS and I need to focus on it 24/7 or it'll never happen!?!? People are so ignorant....I totally feel your pain.

Oh, I know! Last week, a friend told me, "Don't worry about it and it'll happen this cycle."
Sigh. They are trying to help, but if they only knew how NOT helpful they are being.

I started acupuncture this cycle and I really think it has helped me relax - at least a little bit

I know we have tons of things we are charting and meds we are taking but I do believe that not stressing or freaking out about everything will help me get my BFP.
Anytime I start to get upset I just make myself relax. I'm easily excitable so it's not always that easy.
Also, I'm not a religious person, but I do believe that if my body isn't ready for a pregnancy it wont happen. I'm currently trying to get my hypothyroidism under control, lose weight, and get my progesterone up after DPO.
I had a feeling I had a progesterone issue since my LP has been 9,11,11. When I got my first P4 on a medicated cycle it was 8.4 and I was devasted; should have been more like 15. My RE basically said there was no way I was getting pregnant that cycle; and I didn't. I try to look at a BFN as more time for my body to prepare for a baby for HH9.

I have issues with people saying this all the time... I some times can't believe people have babies without trying at all. I mean you have to time it just right, and everything... It seem like it would be harder to just relax and not think about it.

Meanwhile, start giving your IL's the play by play of your sex life--they asked!!! (Im just kidding, but seriously, if that will shut them up, go for it. Worked for one friend of mine. Her mom asked for the millionth time when they were going to get pregnant, and she snapped "Well we're fu**ing every night!" and the subject was closed after that.)

In order to head off uncomfortable queries from family, we told our families that we wanted to have children, that I have pcos so we were having some difficulty and seeking treatment. We said that we'd tell them when we had good news and please don't ask us anything--not "how are things going" not "are you pregnant yet"---don't ask, and we promise we'll tell when we have something to tell. They respected this, and did not get all up in our business. If you (original poster or anyone here) thinks you have family/friends that will respect your request, I recommend this method of dealing with well-meaning, but frustrating/offensive people.

How are you working on the progesterone? I'm on Clomid this cycle, and not monitored, and my luteal phase was 11 days last month, and I think in the past it's been 10. I am going to use the progesterone suppositories this month since it looks like I am Oing, and I might even insist they check my blood in a week to see where p4 stands. Anything else I can do?

I'm a high stress worrywart. I don't know what to do besides worry. :-(

Do we have the same inlaws? Mine KNOW we're having problems, and STILL keep making snide comments about how they'd really like another grandchild soon, and could we get on it? My favorite part about my MIL is that she couldn't conceive and ended up adopting twice. You'd think maybe she'd have some sensitivity? Oh well. Know that you're not alone

Oh well. Know that you're not alone, and maybe keeping them extra updated on your "activities" will keep the comments at bay

My inlaws are the same!!! But I am glad that I don't have to deal with them as much since they live on the other side of the country! But am glad that my family and friends are very supportive. My girlfriends have all become greatly educated about PCOS due to me having it. They research, they read articles, and when they find something, they let me know. Their continued support makes up for the LACk of support I get from the inlaws.
