Default Wondering about chromium piccolinate

Hi Everyone,
I am not sure if I am spelling this right but I was wondering about chromium piccolinate. I have read about other cysters on here that are taking chromium. Is that strictly for weight loss or does it also help with PCOS? If so, can you tell me what it does.
Thanks,

Melanie,

Chronium helps to balance your blood glucose levels. I have heard that in people with diabetes whose blood glucose levels are very unstable causing them to they pass urine a lot, they sometimes need supplements since some chronium can be lost in their frequent urination. But for most other people, I have heard that chronium is generally not considered necessary, since there will be enough of it in your body.

Maybe have a chat with a naturopath or dietician to see if they would recommend for you to supplement with it.

Hope this helps,
Michelle

Melanie,

I should add - that if your blood glucose levels are more stable, you tend to feel less hungry and not have as many (or any) cravings. I think this is where chronium can be helpful with weightloss - since it helps keep BGL's stable and therefore reduces cravings.

All the best,
Michelle
