Question Wondering... Question.

I hadn't had a period for two years until today.

I'm 19 years old and just started recently having sex.

Two questions.

Could the levonorgestrel in Plan B, emergency contraceptive have caused my period?

Or could me having sex initiated by period?

If you were a virgin and just had sex that could be the reason your bleeding. I'm guessing you might not have used protection, since you got the morning after pill.

Well, I've been sexually active now for about 3 weeks. I've only been with one guy, my partner.

Well, the first time I had sex was 3 weeks ago, and we've had sex about a half a dozen times since and I didn't bleed during any of them.

We didn't wear protection because I didn't think I could get pregnant, but when I talked to the doctor at my university's health center she said that I can still ovulate even though I don't have a period, so I could still get pregnant.

I haven't had sex in about 5 days so it's not from sex. I know it's a period because it's a constant flow and I'm having really bad cramping.

It's been about a week and a half since I've taken the morning after pill and I want to know if the hormones in it could have caused my period or is my body producing more estrogen because I'm now sexually active?

Hmm... I don't know enough about exactly what hormones are in PlanB, but I think I remember hearing that taking it will induce a bleed to clean everything out.

Maybe ask on the BCP portion of this board? I wish I could be more help!
