The boxes on these HPTs say that they are approved by Health Canada. That article was from May 2005 so I think they remedied the situation and hopefully they are here to stay!

Well, I will go and check them out. I really hope they are approved by Health Canada, cause cheaper HPTs would be grand!

I found them in London Ontario Dollarma too! They work!! I did one last cycle and it was bfn. I did one after my hcg trigger shot and it showed bfp! lol! If you take them apart they are the internet strips inside a casing.

BuBu - Thanks for the "heads up"... because of your post I went to the Dollarama near me (GTA).. found them hanging after the shampoo... What great news!!
I was going to get my MIL to send them to me (she lives in FL), but we don't want anyone knowing we are TTC, less people to tell the better... that way we don't have to tell any bad news!!

Like most things in the Maritimes, I suspect we won't be getting them until they're 5 years out of style in Toronto. LOL.
Anyway, alternatively, you can purchase really cheap HPTs and OPKs on Amazon. With the dollar sitting at .90 cents American, it's not bad. The other day I bought 40 OPKs and 10HTPs in a package for $24.99! Beats the $50 for 5 OPKs at Shoppers.

Well I am glad Health Canada got over all their issues and finally approved the cheap hpt's. It's about time that we had an affordable option for purchasing them.
I have no clue if BC has them because Kelowna is Dollarama free.
