Default workout DVD's

it's nearly the new year so you know there is going to be loads of new dvd's out over the next couple of weeks or already out.

I've ordered a tae-bo box set to replace the videos, I'm going to wait for a couple of months & then I'm sure they will be going cheap on ebay as people will be bored with them & there will be reviews of them as well.

Has anyone ordered new workout DVD's?

The only thing I have is a basic yoga for dummies dvd but it is so slow I have lost interest before and got a cake halfway through.

I like the idea of the max and paddy work out...I wonder if its for real?

'The Hotpants Workout', Dan Karaty is my all time favourite!

It's the one I use over and over has the naffest title and cover - and yet it's my favourite exercise DVD ever. I only bought it because I got it cheap on Amazon with another one - and at my age, I'm never going to be wearing hotpants again in my life, let's face it! But it's the best and most fun workout I've ever found (if you like dance ones!) And the one I got it with I probably did once - if that.

The plastic women dancing along with Dan are annoying but actually funny, too - one of them gets everything so badly wrong, she made me feel smug when I first did the DVD and was rubbish at it!

I also hate to say this, but Helen from Big Brother's first DVD isn't as bad as you'd imagine, either - as she genuinely was a dance teacher in *real life* and she has a really laid-back attitude, but is fun, too.

I think both of these are round about a fiver on Amazon, but are better value than all the expensive, latest ones I've seen. Dan Karaty's is quite outstanding - he's a dancer and choreographer, not a fitness guru.

The yoga one I do the most is *Yoga and You* which I think I picked up for £1.99 in a bargain book shop by that woman from Emmerdale (Leah Bracknell). That's quite gentle, and not too challenging and is shot beautifully.

I also like Rosemary Conley's *Slim and Salsasize* - rather sedate, but apparently if you do the final 2 sections you burn around 500 cal, so maybe not as sedate as it feels!

I nearly did a topic on this the other day so thanks for the tips girls, I need to get my backside into gear with some exercise!

Purchased the Liberty X dance workout recently which is good. I pref dancey sort of funky exercises so it's ok for me. I wizz some bits though and some of the dance moves are hard to pick up, I tend to add my own moves in instead of the moves that confuse me (easily done, lol!)

Also recently got a Bollywood Dance Workout DVD which is excellent!! I ached the next day so it must have done some good. The dances are really pretty Bollywood and Bhangra (sp?) moves/routines. It's all really well explained and it was really refreshing to dance and workout to something different like that

I nearly got the Hotpants Workout but didn't, maybe I will! the Charlie Brooks one also looks worth a try?

Aparently the Davina one is very good but she annoys me on a fundamental level so I wouldn't actually do any of the exercises.

I miss the morning exercises they used to have on TVAM.....Maybe thats why the whole country is fat at the moment?

I like the Gaiam Yoga dvd's with Susan Deason. Yoga conditioning for weight loss is a good beginner one.
