Worried about gyn appointment. I have an appointment with a gynaechologist on Monday. I really feel nervous and worried about it, I haven't seen one in two years cos all the appointments they sent were either on exam days for me or the letters just didn't even arrive.
I'm worried about what to say to him because the one before put me on metformin and I came off it because of the side effects, I told my doctor this and I am now on Inositol and NPC.
I know I have lost some weight but not a significant amount, and I am getting a little better, my hair is growing longer and faster. Only trouble is I'm getting unwanted hair which I never really used to have on my face, stomach and thighs.
I'm worried because this guy blames everything on my diet, but it's not that I eat too much, I'm sure it's because I eat too little, I tried a calorie counting diet and in the first two days I only counted up about 700 for those two days even though I set myself 1200 a day cos I read it was dangerous to go beneath that.
I know my gp said to me it's probably not a case of how much I'm eating it's what I'm eating because I don't know how to work it all out, one thing says on this diet you can have this, and on another thing of the same bloody diet says you can't have it.
I've ditched white bread, white pasta, white sugar, caffeine and all that stuff, including processed foods and I only have Basmati rice now because it's got a low Gi.
But despite all of this, I have yet to have a proper AF since 6th august last year, okay so I had a small bleed in april, but it was like, I found it, and that was that. and I had spotting in June, and that was the last I saw of it.
I'm going to University soon and I want to be able to learn to manage it before then. So that when I go, I can manage it properly and get myself into a routine.
I've heard of Provera, I'm thinking of asking to be put on it, but what exactly does it do? Because some people say it brings on AF, but others say it eases it off. So if I take it, will I get AF?
I also know that at the moment I'm playing around with different foods, I understand that if you eat something and feel terrible afterwards, It's not good for you? and if you eat something and it makes you feel good, and not bloated etc, it is good for you?
Well this is what I'm doing at the moment, I've begun to see the differences between the foods I'm eating, if it makes me feel good, I have it, if it makes me feel crappy, I leave it out. Seems simple enough, right?
I'm just really at a loss of what I'm going to say to him, as I don't want another bloody doctor having a go at me when I am still, like so many others, learning about how to handle this thing.
