I think I have just heard the absolute worst comment I could have ever imagined hearing. A so called friend (acquaintance really) was in the hospital the same time I was except she was having her baby and I was having an emergency D&C to finish my miscarriage. Apparantly during her delivery, her placenta would not deliver so they did a d&c on her to remove the placenta after birth. So I saw her for the first time since all of this and she shows me her new baby (that part didn't bother me) and says to me and I quote "so I hear we were in the hospital at the same time getting rhemed out" Maybe I am oversensitive but that was without a doubt worse than I could have imagined anyone saying. Of course you never know what to say at the time and I let it go. My dh and I knew that we weren't ready to face our friends and this was the first comment said to us. I guess it proved that we are not ready.
Just thought I would vent- is this the worst you have heard.

I guy who hangs out in town (where I work) said to me ... " I hear you had your baby and it's dead" Mind you he KNEW I was only 14w 2d and he smiled while he said it. GRRRR I don't really talk to him any more. My cousin who didn't know I lost the baby ... 3 days after I lost Lil Peanut ..... Asked me if I was sure I wasn't gunna have twins or trips. My cousin did feel terrible after he said it and I didn't hear from him since and since ethat time his wife had a baby girl so maybe that's why he hasn't called?

Roxie, your cousin is probably afraid you'll be sad about his baby. If you make the first contact and talk it out, he should feel a LITTLE more comfortable. And the guy in your town MUST be the brother of the first peri, who refused to do a rescue cerclage (he always had a smirk on his face when discussing the DEATH OF OUR SON! Sorry - I just hate that man.

I once read a lady on antoher message board say we women with fertility problems shouldn't be able to have children cause we were just infecting the gene pool with our rotten genes. That is the worst thing I have ever heard in my life.
