I have never been to an RE and went to a doc once for my PCOS issues. She said that there was nothing she can do but I see on the board that that is not true. I am 5 5 and 160 pounds and I am wondering if I would benefit from Metformin. Do I have to be obese to take it? Are the side effects worth it and will it help me long-term?

For me i say metfromin is a great med. I now have fairy regular cycles i now gets one every 45 days or so. I am now normla weight. Do you know if you are ir as most of us with pcos are.
