Default Would you take DHEA and pregnenolone?

Hi there,
I have had PCOS for 20 years + and Hashimotos since 2003.

Currently taking 1000mg met, 120mg Armour.

My DHEA and Testosterone levels are elevated.

My dr instructed me to take DHEA 25mg per day and pregnenolone.

MY question is why would he do that if I already have elevated levels.

I feel ghastly and certainly don't want to feel any worse. Not TTC, just trying to feel well. I was successful for 2 pregnancies with ovarian drilling.

Any input would be appreciated. I am wondering if I should insist on having my adrenals checked.
