Default Would zinc make things worse??

I was just wondering if taking zinc could make pcos symptoms worse, in terms of excess hair and acne? I've read that zinc helps to RAISE testosterone, which I don't need anymore of lol What are your thoughts?

I would really like to know this as well, considering I've been taking zinc for the longest time hoping that it would CLEAR up my skin....

Well I also read that zinc is an effective anti-androgen... yet it raises testosterone levels? I'm so confused! lol!

Weird... I know I read once that it can help reduce testosterone or else the effects - read it on some ovarian cysts website run by a Nancy Dunn, i think - I get newsletters from them now and then. But if you google "zinc testosterone" you seem to get a mixed bag of answers.

I wonder if it's one of those things where too little will cause one problem, and too much will cause another problem, and what we need is ADEQUATE zinc to function, not mega-doses?

I know they tell men with sperm issues to take zinc but I am not 100% sure why.

Alright... after I did a bunch of googling, here's what I found out about zinc

"A natural substance known to control DHT is zinc. However, zinc is also an aromatase inhibitor which indirectly increases testosterone. This can decrease the anti-dht effects. In fact, zinc is even recommended for low testosterone levels."

Aromatase is what converts testosterone to estrogen. So I suppose if you have excess estrogen, zinc would be wonderful. If you have low estrogen and high testosterone levels and take a higher dose of zinc, then maybe it could have adverse effects? Hmm..

What I have understood is that zinc balances your hormonal levels, so it's effects on testosterone depends on whether you have enough of it or too much.
