and AF reappeared after a 9mth absence today! i guess thats a good sign that the met is working for my body~although its so nice not having to be bothered with having a period, when you're not ttc.
I totally understand how weird it is finally get your period when you're not trying to have a baby! I was diagnosed after we were done having kids, but like it or not, there are good reasons for periods besides conception. The rates of ovarian and uterine cancers go down significantly when you are menstruating and ovulating regularly. Your metabolism starts functioning better and I noticed a real increase in energy when my hormones were back on track. So appreciate those periods...your overall health improves with your body doing it's own thing.
Congrats on met doing it's stuff!

It was the exact same thing for me! Nine months no AF (and 12months erratic before that), one month of Met - boom! It's been fairly regular so far, but I still don't o.

Tracy,
All things considered, it's great that you found something that can contribute to good health for you! I think that our cycles are representative that our hormones are in good shape, and those hormones are needed for other health issues in the body, such as bone density and the things Christy mentioned.
Congrats!
Sheri
