Wow, you will be amazed at the story I am about to tell. After the adoption match fell apart (see link above) we were convinced that when something was meant to be it would be.
Anyway, this is our story now. On Friday 11/07 I got a call from a local adoption agency that I had spoken to a year before, she had heard from a friend of my MIL what happened with the adoption failure, and called to let us know basically that things would be ok. She said to call her when we feel comfortable and if we are ready to move forward, to fax her the home study when we are ready. Honestly did not give too much thought to the message except that I knew it was heartfelt and nice.
The next evening we were cooking dinner and the phone rang and the agency was on the other end, she said she had an 18 year old BM who had just given birth 11/07 (Friday) and was looking to place. Apparently the hospital social worker contacted this agency. The BM and her mom were very specific in what they were looking for and the agency did not really have anyone to match the specifics. So we faxed out stuff to her and she don’t get your hopes up, they are a wee bit picky. Ten minutes later she told us to get dressed and drive to the hospital to meet the BM, and we did. It went well. By Monday they had chosen us and on Wednesday we brought our son home.
Sam was born 11/07
6lbs 2oz – 20 inches
He is an absolute doll. We always said when it is meant to be and let me tell you all sign point to this situation and meant to be. So I happy to say a bad experience turned into the happiest of ones. Obviously that other situation was not meant to be.
So we welcome our son into the world and could not be happier. All I can say to anyone waiting for their child to be patient and when it is meant to be it will be.
Thanks again to everyone for all their kind words and wishes when the other situation fell apart.

That's great news. Welcome Sam. It's always when you least expect it or when you have given up hope...
Congratulations
