I was denied health insurance recently because of PCOS. That's it. I'm perfectly healthy after that. I'm frustrated, and think that our health care system is ridiculous for denying a relatively healthy person coverage because of a single condition.
I read that one in ten women in America are affected by PCOS, and I read here about how many women are denied health coverage because of this condition. I don't think it's right that so many of us can't get health care unless it's covered by our employer( at least in the state of CA).
Maybe if we voice our concerns and struggles to the government, we can change the fact that so many of us are being denied private health care insurance.
This is the website I use to contact my government representatives. You can contact your local, state and federal representatives via email or printed letter. You can even send a letter to President Obama.

Maybe we can contact local newspapers, write letters to the editor? I'm not one to normally make a fuss, but somehow it just doesn't seem fair.
It's worth a shot, right?
