I am nine days away from actually supposed to be starting my period. This is my second pack of Yasmin ( i 'skipped' my period last month by not taking the white pills and starting my next pack.) I started cramping about five days ago, and having a ( sorry TMI- coming) brown/blackish stringy discharge. And am now starting to have red bleeding. I have sharp pains through both of my sides running down my legs. I have also been having major headaches....i'm not sure wether the two are related or not.

Does any body have any clue as to what it could be? And how to help the pain or stop the bleeding?

Wow--if it were just the discharge, I'd say it was related to the skipped 'off' week, but the other symptoms make it worthy of a phone call to your doctor.

I'm on Yasmin as well. I usually get insomnia and night sweats when I get my period so my doctor recommended I take three packs in row (skipping tow periods) before having another period. I've done that a few times and I've never had spotting in between or headaches. However, I do spot (warning-TMI) after sex which is very unpleasant.

Thanks, I just wish i knew what was causing it. I will hopefully put a call into my dr this coming week.
