I saw an episode of Oprah on Wu-Long Tea. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and if it worked for them. I recently visited the website (http://www.wulongforlife.com/) and it looks like it could be promising. It's on sale for 37$ and can only be purchased over the internet through their site. The website says it is the "centuries-old Chinese slimming secret", "burns 157% more calories than green tea", "reduces fattening effects of carbs", and "clarifies skin, giving it a healthy glow". Is it a skam? Because if it isn't, it seems like the perfect remedy to us PCOSers. I also read some of the testimonials and they seem legit. If Oprah reccomends it then I can't see it being a farse. Let me know what you all think.
"melt away bodyfat; boost energy; and even clarify skin, giving your face a clear, radiant glow."
They have everything from everyday traditional black teas to complex red tea to some heavenly exotic flavors (rose, cardamon, cinnamon).
I'm sure that oolong or wu-long is among them.

The woman who does my hair swears by it, but the wulong looks like an impostor. Where can we get the oo long tea? GNC? That's the real thing, I think it helps, from what I've seen and want to give it a try.
Oolong tea is also a slimming secret in Japan. While I lived there I drank it cold during the summer as you could buy bottles of it like bottles of water. I didn't see any results in the form of weight loss but I did notice that after anything heavy or oily it settled the tummy and digestive system nicely. In Chinese restaurants they use this to wash the grease off their hands from the fried foods and drink it after the meal.
Cheers,
Lisa

You can get it anywhere that sells tea.
Are you in LA? If so, you can get it at Whole Foods, or there's a Tea 'boutique' on Beverly (I think it's Beverly and Doheny) called The Tea Garden (or something like that.)
There's also the tea place next to The Bodi Tree (or Bohdi) on Melrose.

Went into an Asian herb shop today - the man said that oolong tea would help more for cholesterol and improve digestion. I also ran into a tea callled Premium Slimming Tea, caffeine free.
I bought both.
The box says to drink one cup in the morning, and one cup at night - after meals. Will be interesting to see how it goes. I'm drinking the slimming tea right now and it is very mild, like regualr tea. Now I hope it doesn't give me the trots!!!
Haven't tried the oolong tea yet.
Dyonisya and Kat - thanks for posting where I could get it.
I'm about an hour away from L.A.
("to wash the grease of their hands")??? Some heavy duty stuff!

The other tea place I was thinking of is called The Urth Cafe. It's on Melrose near La Cienega, next to The Bodi Tree bookstore. I was just in there yesterday. They have 4 different types of organic oolong tea.
The other tea shop is called The Tea Garden (I think). It's closer to West Hollywood near Doheny. I like the Tea Garden better...it's very 'zen'.

Let's meet for tea I may check it out, this oolong tea from this store in Huntington tastes kinda rancid.
Thanks Kat
We SHOULD!!! I'm back in Carolina, right now, but I might be back in Cali in 3 weeks, for about a week....
This past trip, I was busy from dawn till dusk - hopefully, the sked will be better when I go back.
The Tea Garden is lovely and serene. Urth Cafe (during the day) is a madhouse. I couldn't wait to get my tea and get OUT.
I also ate sushi at Cafe' Sushi on Beverly, and thought of you!
Just let me know, that would be fantastic.
Both those places sound neat.
Glad your hectic schedule is over for the time being, ya didn't share what kind of sushi ya had....
