a lot of physicians (OB's and RE's) will try Clomid as the next step in addition to your other meds. lots of us don't O on met alone but the met/clomid combo works really well for some

I agree w/ PP. Your next step would be to try Clomid. I'm on the same & I don't get AF or O on my own either. Some cysters still need help even w/ taking Metformin (sometimes works on it's own to get O to happen).

Ok I will ask about clomid. Thank you! I'm am already having mostly normal cycles ranging from 24 to 35 days but mostly 29 days long. Another question is I'm only on 1000mg of met a day, and have only been on it for 2 months, should I be taking a higher dose? I've herd a lot of ppl say that a low dose will not help u O!but I'm not sure I don't have insurance so I can't afford to got to a fertility clinic or even ob around here just for a consultation at a ob is almost 300.00 and the fertility clinic is over 350.00! Just think wut it would be to go back and actually have something done! So I don't get a lot of help or info out of my doctors because I just don't think they really know much about pcos!! So I try to get info and go in and suggest thing to her that I've herd from other so any info would be helpful!
