I am jumping out of my seat here! We just received notice from our agency that we are now DTC!!! That means "Dossier Sent to China!!!" It takes about 7-10 days for express mail to the CCAA, but we are now officially waiting!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ecstatic!!! Thanks for letting me share my joy with you all!!!

This is a HUGE step...still a long wait, but that's OK. Lots to do to get ready for her arrival. It's like I'm an expectant mother all over again. It may take about the same amount of "gestation" time, although Lily could possibly already be born!!

This is such an exciting time. I remember waiting for the referrals of my children and you are right it is just like being an expectant mom again. I will be praying for you and your family - and I hope your new daughter is home soon.

On Saturday night we went out to dinner with 8 other adoptive families. 1 family has a 3 year old (came home 2 years ago), 2 just recently came home in the last 1-2 months, and the rest of us are at various waiting stages. Talk about having tears in my eyes the whole night. The girls are simply beautiful.
****I highly advise anyone who is adopting to get in touch with anyone who may be in your area who is adopting, preferably from the same country so you know what to expect & can ask questions. I really see this new group as a lifeline for me, just as you girls are my lifeline here on line (for PCOS and EVERYTHING ELSE! LOL).
Ahhhhhhhh..........only 12 months to go!! Praying for much shorter wait, of course!!

Amazing ! I know with the China Adoptions this is a HUGE step ! Friends of ours are travelling in April to get their daughter !
They are on the edge of their seats I can't wait to hear your travel date !!!! A year will FLY by !!

I just got some emails from people who use our adoption agency and they were DTC in Dec 01 & Jan 02---they just got their referrals today! So, the prediction looks like it may ring true....China will process 2 months at a time to ease the backlog.
Now of course my mind is calculting everything....if it works out the way I am hoping, we may get referral in SEPTEMBER and travel in NOVEMBER!!! WOW!! I wonder if it'll work out that way???!!!!
Whew....I need to calm down....who's to know if it'll really pan out that way....I better still count on travelling in a year!
