does yasmin contain the anti-androgen cyprotone acetate? Is it the US form of Dianette? I say US form because I'm sure you can't get this in the UK?

No, yasmin doesn't contain cyproterone acetate. The 'US form' of dianette is called Diane-35 and yasmin is available in the UK - I was prescribed it as dianette causes me awful migraines.

I thought neigther dianette nor diane-35 are available in the US? Yasmin contains something like "drospiridone" - too lazy to get up and look at the pack - as the progestin part of the pill. It is derived from spironalactone (AKA aldactone) which is a potassium sparing diuretic with anti-androgen properties.

yes, yasmin is most certainly available in the uk - i was on it there for a while. then i moved to the states and my insurance doesn't cover it

i'm wondering what the hell to take now.
