Default Yasmin

Ok...So I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2003. They decided that the lack of periods was from my weight which is probably a factor of the PCOS. After I lost about seventy pounds, gained all back, lost it all again....they put me on Yasmin. They said it would actual be good because it did not have the gain weight side effect like most birth control pills do. I have taken it for about two years without any problems. Here is my newly delevoped problem:

For about two months now, my back has been killing me. I have had shooting pains up my spine.

Not only that, but for several years now the Yasmin has controlled my bleeding. Now,all of the sudden..I think it has stopped working.

Last month about five or six days before my period I had vaginal bleeding. I thought I was just starting my period early. It only lasted one day. I though - ok freak accident sometimes happen or wtf ever.....

then it just happened again yesterday. I am about five or six days before my period again and there I went and now it has completly stopped.

Not to mention - if I ever forget to take my Yasmin - I am like a walking zombie. It is literally like my mind can not go from the off switch on. I thought I was just crazy until my friends and bf noticed it,too. My emotions get all screwed up if I don't take it.

Could I just be in need of stronger dosage? Any ideas? Think I should try some other bc?

Is some of this signs of ovarian cancer? Like the bleeding and back pain? My doctor told me I was at a very elevated risk for ovarian cancer and that PCOS made that risk even worse.

Help Please!

Im not sure if its the Yasmin you said you have taken it for two years have you started any new meds, taken antibiotics or over the counter meds I read that caffeine can cause side effects on yasmin I read it on this board. I too take Yasmin It does control my moods so I understand when you say you kinda go haywire when you forget to take it because it actually does balance hormones I would talk to your doctor asap just to make sure you are ok and find out what the problem is - GOD BLESS

I am not sure as I have been on Yasmin for 2 years and have had none of what you speak of. Also, if I miss doses it really doesn't do anything to me. I am just not sure what to tell you, but I would speak to my doctor about it.

GL!
