I'm on Yasmin and the 3rd week of the pack, I get horrible acne on the left side of my face/neck area. It goes from the base of the neck, all the way up the side of my face...and i'm not talking lil ones--they are big white heads (sorry TMI)...make-up only goes so far. I dont know if it is the Yasmin or what. I never had this with the Ortho-Tri-Lo packs...coincidentally it is 3rd week that i'm the most frisky also--hate it but whatever--so anybody else in the same boat, as I am or am I alone?

Yasmine helps to clear up acne, but it gets worse before it gets better. Hang in there. Month #1 was hell for me in terms of acne, etc. but by month 2 I have great skin!

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as most of you. Yasmin has really made me breakout - the painful, cystic ones. So far, I have not found anything to help clear it up. I tried Proactive for a couple of months. I noticed an improvement within the first two weeks. Then, my face got worse. I'm still looking for a miracle cure. If I find one, I'll let you know!!

Aw, I was on yasmin for a month and it helped me.. then I switched to yaz, and next month I'll be switching back to yasmin.. (don't go on yaz!)

I won't be on the pills for long. I'm TTC, so I'm just taking Yasmin to clear up my cysts. I'm on my second pack of pills, and my acne seems to be improving. I'm still breaking out some but not as bad as before. Hang in there ladies. Hopefully, you will all see the same improvement over time!!

I'm in the acne boat, too . . . it sux! It's weird because it is horrible cystic acne along my chin, on both sides of my face. But, the rest of my face actually looks great. It is the worst acne I've ever had, though. I just started pack 2 and am hoping for improvement!

It's because your body is adjusting to the hormone levels in your body. PCOS is already making you hormonally challenge so when you introduce another hormone until it levels out this is going to happen.
During the holidays, I saw a picture of when I was first diagnosed how bad my face looked, I already suffer from adult acne, and was using proactive which helped a great deal. But when I was diagnosed not even the proactive was helping until, bc kicked in and level out. Yes and I looked like I had chicken pox all over my forehead and sides of my face. So once the levels of hormone were ok the skin got better.
