Talking Yasmin after two months!! Noticing a change-

Ok, ladies, brace yourself, it's sick. But after taking Yasmin after three months, my nipple hairs are vellus and I don't have to tweeze them! Before they were super course and long black wiry things! Also, I noticed that I can go almost a week without shaving my thighs! It used to be like three days. But this made me realize something. I know it's only a few hairs on my nipples, but if they were once course before and growing back to normal, I don't see why the rest of the hair on my body can't do this as well! I'm going to get on a health regime, talk one over with a nutritionist and see if I can get myself right. I am starting to have faith that with the right weightloss program and medication, I can nip this thing in the bud for good!!! I mean if I BCPs are giving my body what it needs, then why won't dieting and weightloss have the same effect!?! I don't want to give false hope though, and maybe I'm looking too far ahead, but this has been the most hopeful thing that's happened to me thus far, and after all, it was only just a couple of nipple hairs! (on a side note, my skin is softer with Yasmin. I never had an acne problem, but my skin used to be real dry, and now I notice it's softer, and especially my bum, weird, huh? but good)

Default Yasmin in my future?!

I think I am going to try Yasmin soon also. I will give pretty much anything a try. The Metformin has helped slow my hair growth down (used to have a five 0' clock shadow same day, now can go about 1 and 1/2 to 2 days before shaving face again). Have you experienced anything not so great on the Yasmin? It seems from what I've read it is either completely good or completely bad for the person. Jean

Default Not completely fine

I've had the worse cramps of my life the first month. I missed school, and bled like mad. I still have mood swings and even mild depression. But for me, the treatment is better than the side effects. I'd rather forsake body hair and insecurities for a few bad days and mood swings. To tell you the truth, I don't think I'd want to get off of it if even it meant not having children. But that's a personal choice. I'm dealing with the side effects, but I'm hoping they will smooth out. After a crying fit I had in the car, I was considering throwing away the pill, but for me, my body hair is more traumatic. The depression is manageable. It's ups and downs for me, but I'm not suicidal, it's not severe. And hell, I was depressed before Yasmin!

Thanks for sharing your success with yasmin. I am just on my second week and I feel terrible, tired, weepy, heartburn, not hungry, sick to my tummy etc etc.

I know for BCP's to really help you need to stick on the same one for like 3months and then your body will get used to them so hearing your success with yasmin gives me hope that I wont feel like this for long..so thanks again and I hope you have continued success.

Default Yasmine

Hey everyone,

I was on Yasmine for a while, but every month I had spotting about mid month. Has anyone else had that side effect? I didn't have the mood swings....but I didn't have them before either. I just don't know how normal monthly spotting is. When I spoke to my doc. he put me on another pill that I don't find as effective. So here I am....asking another question that maybe there is no answer for....to spot or not to spot...that is the question.

Thanks,
Angel
