Question Yasmin and Agnus Castus

I have been taking Agnus Castus for approx 12 months but this has not regulated cycles with no AF unless with norethisterone.

The GP has therefore given me Yasmin to see if this will help regulate for a while and hopefully feel better.

Does anyone know if I could still continue with the Agnus Castus or not?

Thanks
Dawn

i visit an herbalist and he has said it's fine for me to continue taking vitex alongside yasmin. i've been doing this for a month and it's fine. i've had some breakthrough bleeding, but my herbalist is fairly sure this is due to the yasmin and not vitex.

my herbalist is a very good one - he's one of the top herbalists in london (just so you know he's not a quack)

:)

Hi Mix

Did you have any problems with Yasmin? I really hate to take BCP's as this is not for birth control reasons (my hubby has had the op) but was just hoping it would make me feel better, less fuzzy headed and sweaty!! I've tried the metformin route approx 2 years ago but the effects soon wore off.

yes, i definitely feel better - in just a few days it lowered my testosterone considerably.

i'm doing loads of other stuff too though (see signature), and losing weight, so it's all helping i think.

the first month of yasmin i bled quite a bit, but it's settling down now. i feel much better in myself, less aggressive, no depression anymore. i just feel more womanly - if that makes sense.

i've been told it takes time to settle into a bcp so it's worth giving it a few months if you can.

let me know how it goes :)

Hi Mix

I took my first Yasmin last night! Just a quick question, I stopped saw palmetto around six months ago but have decided to give this another go.

When do you take your Saw Palmetto? I take the Yasmin last thing at night and have heard Saw Palmetto is best taken late.
Do you know or anyone else if these are OK to take together?

Thanks

Dawn
