Hi -

I have been on a rollercoaster of meds recently. My gyno put me on Yasmin (on top of Metformin and Aldactone) about 3 months ago, she said the others weren't really doing the job. Then, my endo told me to stop taking the metformin.

I have never had a problem with hair loss with PCOS, always the opposite, facial hair.

It seems that as soon as I went on Yasmin, I started losing a considerable amount of hair after showering and when brushing.

I went to my GP yesterday, she looked at my scalp and said "yeah, general hair loss". She switched my BCP to Designe or something?

Now I know it is falling out after showers but have no idea what she saw. My hair is pretty thick so I am curious if she saw something on my scalp?

I am almost positive this loss started the day I started taking Yasmin. Now who knows what will happen - my hormones are so screwed up. Just wondering now if it was better just to be on Met and Aldactone.

Feeling miserable...please help.
