I took yasmin for a year. The good thing was it greatly reduced facial and body hair..my skin looked amazing..and no weight gain. The cons...a little bit of moodiness (nothing major though), really, really sore boobs, and I'm convinced my hair loss was worse on yasmin. I've since switched to ortho cyclen and love it.

I was on yaz for one month, just before I got married. It was a miracle, the cycle AFTER the yaz cycle was 31 days!!!! Although I am a little bit stressed out, because I had a phamtom pregancy that month and I think my luteal phase was only 14 days when I charted another "regular" 8 week cycle. So I am wondering if I was actully really pregnant that time. I hope not.

I had just been on the pill again (trying for another good cycle after one month). I went to another doctor in england because I moved who gave me yasmin. She said this is the same as the american yaz and they jsut call it differently here. That seems to be wrong from what I read here.
Anyways, the english yasmin now made my breasts huuuuuuuuge and made me lose 3% of my body weight or so in one month!!!
I loved it, I just went off again because one of my friends got pregant (after only 1 month trying) and I was sooooo frustrated about that.

I took it for about six years straight and had no problems or side effects. When I went off of it, the mood swings, the hair issues and the PMS all came back with a vengance.

I was on Yasmin for a year and it made me very moody. Especially when i was hungry!!! My hunger didn't come on slowly with yasmin. I would feel suddenly hungry and like I either wanted to cry or rip somebody's head off!!! I could feel a difference when i stopped. I actually just stopped lo ovral for the same reasons. The first couple months aren't bad but after it builds up in my system I just get more and more emotionally unstable. I have yet to find a bc that does not make me feel this way

I'm starting my third week and so far, no side effects at all other than a few slight episodes of I KEEL YOU DED WITH MY EYES the first week. I'm impressed.

i had weight gain and major depression issues...considering i'm not normally a depressed person this was a big problem for me and i recognized it right away. i later found out after much research that a lot of women experience depression on yasmin. those are the only side effects i can recall

I have been on Yasmin on and off the past year but have been taking it consistently since September/October. I have no negative side effects and only positive things to say about it. It's not a miracle solution to PCOS, but it does slow the excess hair growth and help a great deal with acne. It has cleared up the acne on my arms and back completely, and it has drastically decreased the acne on my chest and face.

Before my PCOS diagnosis, I was very "hormonal" and moody. I still feel a little bloated/irritated the week off of active pills, but it's NOTHING like it was.

Lastly, my potassium levels are perfect (knock on wood), and my BP is normal (I also exercise regularly).

I took yasmin for a year or more. I didnt have any side effects of it. I was able to lose weight while on it. I just started back on it today.

I have thought of actually going back on birth control. I dont know if I want the pills or if I should do the ring. I need something that is low. I am a very happy, giggly, outgoing girl and pretty much all birth controlI have tried has made me very depressed and emotional etc.

I might give Yas another try.

i've been on it for a month for the hairiness, not any success with that quite yet, i don't think, but it has made my skin absolutely beautiful! and less oily too. i don't have to put on makeup at all throughout the day anymore!

For me Yasmin was wonderful. I lost almost 30 pounds in 4-5 months. I was really trying, just doing the same diet and exercise routine I had been doing for years to maintain or try to lose weight. Acne was cleared (my big nasty, painful, cystic like pimples on my chin, neck and ear line), and my hair loss stopped and filled in a little. No mood problems.

The only problem I had was yeast infections. I went off when ttc and gained the weight back quickly (the ttc drugs don't help there though either!). When I am finished with breast feeding I will go back on it and try taking AZO (sp?) to keep the yeast infection at bay. If that's a problem again.

I have been on it since 2005 and I love it. Clearer skin, barely any cramps, barely any PMS, period every month since I started it, blood work has improved, and I've lost weight, and I'm not depressed.
