Does Yasmin interact at all with metformin? I was on bcp's before and I remember that my metformin didn't work as well when I was on it. I wasn't sure if this was the case with yasmin? Also has anyone had any possitive results from the 'water pill' effect of yasmin. I really hold a lot of fluid and was hoping it might help.

I took Yasmin and Met together and did not have any problems. I have never taken Met without Yasmin except for the past month since I started using NPC and have not noticed the Met working any better or worse. I took Yasmin for 3 1/2 years and it all but eliminated my oily skin, acne and facial hair. I went off it for 1 month because I wanted to use NPC for the next 6 months until we start TTC. Already, my oily skin, acne and facial hair have come back in full force. I am going to ask my dr to re-prescribe it for me until we are actually ready to start TTC. Oh, also, I did not cycle on the NPC and always did on the Yasmin. I don't really know about the "water pill" effect. My first dr that diagnosed me w/ PCOS did tell me it had that effect but I never noticed it with me.
