I bled for three months straight, felt horrible and my doctor told me that I was just "stressed." Ha. Yasmin was simply too estrogenic for me. I always had long and horrible periods on this pill and was unusually emotional even once I became "regulated" on it. Some doctors are under the misconception that because Yasmin has chemical properties similar to aldactone, that they can kill two birds with one stone. For some people that works, but it was disastrous for me. I continued to stay on that pill for 10 months not only did the high estrogenic effect cause me bleeding irregularities and anemia, but it triggered severe endomitriosis and immune system problems. My doctor convinced me that it was me and not the pill that was the problem ( exercising 5 days a week wasn't enough, I was too emotional), and he even refused to give me a different pill, saying that I that was the only choice that I had (jerk--don't go to Kansas City Women's Clinic). I say get off of it now. Although it does take time to adjust to a new pill, read the posts of the other women out here who never adjusted. You should not be bleeding like that. My recommendation would be to try a pill with desogestrel (desogen, cyclessa or mircette) and add aldactone to that if you need that extra help with skin/hair. |
