Default Yasmin vs. YAZ

I know they are different, but are they really that much different. I have heard that YAZ works well for acne and excess hair. Does Yasmin work just as well? I want the best, but I also have to look at price also unfortunately.

I have taken both and prefer the Yasmin. It works better for the hair and acne for me. The Yaz made me ultra sensitive and really messed up my emotions.

I have the same question. I am not looking to take the emotional roller coaster ride, which is why I haven't made any choice yet, because I am fine emotionally not taking anything, but I know I need to do something. I would like to take control of the acne and hair thing. Also, I am not obese, however I do have the weight around the middle going on.

I'm currently taking Yaz (which I got a three month supply for free from my doctor since my insurance status was still pending) and so far I'm on my 2nd pack of Yaz. So far, I've had a very emotional and painful roller coaster ride while taking Yaz. My period has been extremely painful with huge clots and I'm still having some bleeding a little over a week later. I'm still constantly having pelvic pain with very light bleeding and small clots. My emotions have been on overdrive and I'm constantly crying or getting emotional about something...my poor fiance! I'm thinking of asking my doctor to switch me to something else because so far, Yaz isn't doing it for me.

I'm the total opposite. Yaz is the only bp that doesn't make me feel insanely emotional.

It varies from person to person, and it's going to be a trial and error...there's no way around it.
