Well girls I've now resigned myself to the fact that I will have to have the laparoscopy... I've avoided it long enough, I can't continue as I am so it'll just have to be done and the quicker the better.

I'm back to the doc on Friday for the referral. I decided to call BUPA. We're in a group scheme through DH's work. I didn't think they'd cover it because I had in my head that the allowance was only up to £1000 per year. I was wrong. It's £1000 per year for consultant fees alone. They'll cover the laparoscopy in totality so I'm delighted. It means that it'll be done quick and in the private part of our hospital which is lovely....the rest of it is lovely too though so I'm not bothered. Decreasing my waiting time is my main motivation for going private - and we pay for BUPA so we might as well use it.

Yes I have a friend who has had a lap done on BUPA- only had to wait a couple of weeks!
