Default YAY!! I induced AF with np cream

hi ladies,

i finally got AF after 55 days. i induced it with np cream. it only took about 1 week and there she was...i felt her lurking, but i guess i needed the extra push to bring her on. i have been doing a liver/gallbladder cleanse and taking soy lecithin granules/pills. i am on CD5 today and i have an appt with a fertiliy DR tomorrow (i have been waiting 6 weeks for it). i am excited to see what she has to say. i started SPI today and will take it until CD9. i will see what happens. i really do not want to take clomid, so i am doing my best to try and O naturally. wish me luck!!!

When you say it only took about a week for AF to show was that while taking it, or after you finished?

The reason I ask is because I used NPC for 2 weeks and then stopped after 14 days hoping to induce AF. Well, it's been 5 days since the last time I used it and nothing. I have feelings like she may be on her way but nothing yet. Just wondering if she's going to show or did the NPC not work for me?

Thanks for the info and CONGRATS on starting AF

Hey!
Since you don't have a cycle you need to take the cream for 2 weeks (which you've done) and then stay off of the cream for 2 weeks. This will mimick a 28 day cycle. Me personally had to use the cream for about a month before AF arrived (I took it for 2 weeks stayed off for 2 weeks then started the cream again and AF arrived on the 5th day of using cream). Then when AF finally comes you follow a day 12-26 pattern of using. Don't be surprised if AF shows prematurely a couple times - this is your body adjusting. You need to wait at least 3 mos before you adjust your dosage (some people are a little more sensitive to the cream than others so they require less). So if AF arrives early just stop using the cream and start the 12-26 pattern all over. After a normal cycle starts you then need to start charting temps to find out when you are actually ovulating. Once you figure this out you need to adjust the days of taking the cream to fall AFTER you ovulate (most people ovulate between day 12 and 14 - sometimes later). Always take it for 14 days, though. This should help getting your body back to normal and also help with TTC.

thank you for answering sassy25. you are excatly right. i had used the cream for 1.5 years prior to going off it and letting a couple of months go by until i used it again so it probably was still in my system. af came for me while i was still taking the cream. ladies...sassy25 is right. use it for 2 weeks on and off and it will eventually come. i stopped using it once i knew that af had definitely arrived.

i get the cream from a compounding pharmacy near my house. it is a 3% cream. it can take your body a while to get the prog. into your system before you start seeing any results.

good luck!
