Default Yaz

Hi,
i am currently taking Yaz for pcos and before starting (3 months ago) i hadn't had my period in about a year. I am starting the 4th pack of yaz but since the first pack i have had my period every other week. it isn't spotting its the full thing and usually will last the whole week or like the first month stop for a couple of days before the white placebo pills and then picked back up when i took the pacebos. I am trying to decide whether or not to try something else because i don't have any other side effects other than a small amount of weight gain. my emotions have been fine and my skin is clearing. i have taken it religiously at the same time every night and was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem and if it will subside. or if i should wait a week before i start up a pack again. ( to let my period run its course?) i am not really sure what to do. i tried yasmin awhile ago and it really effected my mood so i am happy that yaz is working but i am getting a little annoyed with having my period so much.
any input will help.

I haven't had that particular problem, but I have heard from my gynecologists that side effects of all sorts usually subside after the first three packs. So, if you're still having the problem after the fourth, I'd call your doctor. Of course if you think there is cause for concern, you should call sooner.

I'm on Yaz and haven't had any problems, but I know sometimes you need to be prescribed a stronger dose if you have problems with your period coming too frequently. I'd give it a little bit though and make sure it's not just your body getting used to the pills, but if it persists call your dr and she/he will tell you the best thing to do.
